How Pool Deal Direct makes money
Pool Deal Direct participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click a "View deal" link on our site and make a purchase from the retailer, we may earn a commission — typically a small percentage of the sale.
This costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price whether you click our link or go to the retailer directly. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.

What commissions don't buy
Our deal rankings are based on genuine discount depth and value — not on commission rates. Specifically:
- A higher commission never moves a deal higher on the page.
- Products with poor reliability or misleading specs are excluded regardless of commission.
- We list the best price we can track down, even when it earns us less.
Direct advertising
We also offer a small number of direct advertising placements to pool-industry brands (see our advertise page). Sponsored placements are always labeled as such and are visually distinct from our editorial deal listings.
